History: Located in Guangzhou, China, Pearl River Piano Group has become the largest piano manufacturer in the world, with a production of over 140,000 pianos annually by more than 4,000 workers. PRPG manufactures under the brands of Pearl River, Ritmüller, and Kayserburg brands. Pearl River is the best-selling piano brand in China, and is exported to more than 120 countries. In 2019, the construction of a new, state-of-the-art, 1.2-million-sq.-ft. factory was built. It combines traditional craftsmanship and processes with advanced CNC digital machinery. PRPG has attained sustainable production processes having received environmental certification to ISO 14001 and management certification to ISO 9001 as verification of this responsibility. Differences between Classic, Superior and Premium series are based on type of hammer felt used, cabinet styles, solid vs. laminated soundboard, action manufacturer and scale designs.
